I initially left positive reviews for Direct First Web Design because I genuinely believed services were being delivered. The initial website builds were completed, and I was repeatedly reassured that ongoing work—SEO, updates, and improvements—was being carried out. However, it later became clear that this was not the case.
Over time, I was consistently told that refurbishments and additional pages were being added, yet the websites remained largely undiscoverable and showed no meaningful SEO progress. A website that cannot be found defeats its purpose, regardless of how it looks.
It took nearly 12 months to fully realise that the promised follow-up work had not been delivered. The issue is not the initial build, but the failure to provide the ongoing services that were paid for and repeatedly confirmed as completed.
For clarity, any earlier positive reviews were based on information I was given at the time and should be disregarded in light of what later became apparent.
